Cave Symbols

Ancient symbols were unearthed in a Mediterranean cave:
A woman, a donkey, a shovel, a fish, and the Star of David.

It was hailed as a stunning discovery. Carbon dating showed the carvings were over 3,000 years old. The stone slab was removed and brought to a museum, where archaeologists from around the world gathered to interpret the meaning.

After months of debate, the president of the archaeological society stepped up.

Pointing to the first symbol, he said,
“This is a woman, showing these people held women in high esteem.

The next symbol is a donkey, meaning they were intelligent enough to use animals to help work the land.

Then we see a shovel, proof they had developed tools.

The fish shows advanced thinking. If crops failed, they could still turn to the sea for food.

And finally, the Star of David confirms these people were Hebrews.”

The audience erupted in applause.

From the back of the room, a little old Jewish man stood up and said,
“Idiots. Hebrew is read from right to left.”He squinted at the symbols and added,
“It says: ‘Holy mackerel… dig the ass on that chick.’
